What to bring

  • A valid photo ID (passport or national ID).
  • A digital version of your rental confirmation must be produced upon arrival at the rental desk. Failure to present the rental confirmation means the car hire company may charge you at the local rates. Please note: We are not responsible for overcharges on rentals where the rental confirmation was not presented to the car hire company on collection of the vehicle. If you do not present the required documents, the documentation is not valid or you do not have enough funds on your credit card, the car hire company may refuse to release the vehicle and no funds will be reimbursed.

Fuel
Fuel: Pick up and return full. Your vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel. To avoid incurring fuel charges, you will need to return it with the same amount of fuel as it had when you collected it. You may be required to leave a fuel deposit reserved or charged on your credit card, this will be released or refunded when you return the car full. Missing fuel will be charged on your return. The price per litre charged by the rental agent may be significantly higher than the price at the local service station. A refuelling charge may also be applicable.
Driver's age
25 to 80 years. Young driver's age: 21 to 24 years. Charge 16.5 AUD per day. Includes 10% tax Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to hire a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.
Travel Restrictions
The Renter must not use the vehicle outside the permitted area of use. If the renter takes the vehicle outside the permitted area of use their liability for any loss or damage will increase and any optional protection selected void.

(d) between mainland Australia and Tasmania in either direction, or into or out of the Northern Territory or Western Australia. Note that vehicles are permitted to be taken to: (i) Kangaroo Island;

Excluded from the protection is driving on beaches or through streams, dams, rivers or flood water. Vehicles rented within Darwin are only permitted for use within the Northern Territory and are subject to daily Kilometre limits. It is prohibited to drive outside any town or city limits between Sunset and Sunrise.
Where you cannot drive
- Buntine hwy; Central Arnhem Rd; Roper Hwy; Gunlom Falls Rd; Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls in Kakadu National Park and the lost city in Litchfield Park, or any road which is unsealed.
Kilometres limit
- Small cars up to Intermediate have 100kms free/day - SUV , People Movers have 200KM free/day
Restricted Territory means:
(a) if You collect the Vehicle from a Rental Station located in Western Australia, the Restricted Territory is all States and Territories except for Western Australia (You may only drive the Vehicle in Western Australia); Areas where vehicles are not permitted to be driven (i) north of Exmouth (21°54’S / 114°10’E);
Please note
  • A deposit amount of AUD 1000.0 will be held against your credit card for the duration of the rental.
  • Your deposit is a guarantee held in the event of damage/theft of the vehicle.
  • This will be released if there is no theft or damage during the rental period.
  • Please note that this does not represent your total excess liability which can be found in the Damage Waiver Liability section.
  • Credit card(s) must be valid for up to 6 months after the rental has ended.
  • NOT ACCEPTED: No other payment types will be accepted.
  • Virtual payment cards are not accepted.
  • A valid credit card in the first name and surname (no abbreviations) of the lead driver must be presented at the rental desk in order to pre-authorise/charge a deposit.
  • Please be prepared to provide the PIN number of the credit card(s) presented as suppliers could require this to proceed with the rental contract.
  • In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card, there is a lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card or the credit card is not in the lead driver's name, the car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle.
  • In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.
  • This location accepts Debit Cards.
  • Conditions of debit card use: card must be in main driver's name.
  • Debit cards must be issued by a bank.

Driving licence

  • International Driving Permit is required. International Driving Permit must be accompanied by the original domestic licence of the driver.
  • For International Driving licences, all customers will need to present their locally issued drivers licence, a copy of their Passport, plus an International Driving Permit if their local driver's licence is not written in Roman Alphabet characters. For example, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic customers, must present a copy of their passport, their locally issued driver's licence AND an International Drivers Permit in this situation. If your driver's licence IS written in Roman Alphabet characters, then you only need to present your passport and current local valid driver’s licence.
